  1. On the Home screen, select Reports in the Drawing Manager category tile.

    -OR-

Use the Navigation bar to navigate to the category and style group.

The software switches to the Configuration view.

  2. Expand Report Types in the Reports panel, and then double-click Neutral report.

The Reports panel displays the attribute groupings that are applicable to the Neutral report (1). The Report Definition panel (2) displays options for defining Neutral report layout.

  3. Type the folder path location and file name for the Neutral report in the Report Location box.

    -OR-

Click Browse , and navigate to the location.

  4. Under Group Selector, click .

The software displays a list of inactive component groups.

An inactive component group is one that is not selected for report output.

  5. Click a component group in the list to make it active. For example, click Flanges.

The software displays the active group under Group Selector. The software also adds the group to an empty pane under Report Layout. The list of inactive groups continues to display so that you can add more groups.

  6. Continue activating component groups as needed. When finished, click anywhere in the window to close the list. In the example, three component groups are active: Default, Flanges, and Instruments.

You can toggle between hiding and displaying a component group in the Report Layout section by clicking it under Group Selector. When you hide a component group, Group Selector shows it in a gray box (1), whereas component groups that are visible under Report Layout are shown in blue boxes (2).

  7. Select an empty group under Report Layout.

  8. Use the attribute groupings in the Reports panel to specify which attribute data to output in the report. Expand an attribute group, and then double-click the attribute name.

    -OR-

Expand an attribute group, and then click the green plus sign () that displays when you point to the attribute.

The software adds the attribute to the selected component group. In the example, attributes are defined for the Default and Instruments groups. However, the Flanges group is empty.

    • Click Delete Attribute in the column object header to remove the attribute from the component group.

    • When a component group is populated with attributes, selecting an empty group displays the populated groups that you can copy to the empty group. In the example, clicking Instruments copies the Description, DESIGN-TEMPERATURE, and INSULATION-SPEC attributes to the Flanges component group.

  9. If needed, use the shortcut menu to define the Maximum Characters and Enabled settings.

  10. Click when finished.

  • You can use drag and drop to reorder the column objects in any component group. For more information, see Define the report layout.

  • To remove (deactivate) a component group from the Neutral report, select the group pane under Report Layout, and then click Delete Group . If the group is populated with attributes, the software displays a warning before deactivating the group and removing it from the Group Selector.

  • For more information about report layout options, see Report Definition options.
