Hot Fix and Service Pack Updates

October 2019

• The software now supports viewing multi-sheet drawings in the Drawing Preview panel. For more information, see Control the display of the drawing preview in Drawing Preview panel. (P3 AL:19344)

May 2019

• Isogen Reporting supports nominal size/bore and bolt size output within a single column. For more information, see CharacteristicBore in COLUMN and COLUMNS element and Use Case 2 in FORMAT element. (P2 AL:18772)

• Updated the basic syntax for the QRCODE script. For more information, see QRCODE element. (P3 AL:19059).

• Added information about resetting isometric drawing options. For more information, see Resetting options in Options panel.

• The following changes are specific to the isometric drawing options supported by the software. For more information, see What's New in the Isometric Drawing Options Reference Help.

  • A new options group, Integration, contains properties that enable Isogen to create integration data files during isometric drawing generation.

  • The new Isogen input file, SPF-ATTRIBUTE-MAP-FILE, enables you to extend the POD attributes that are published to SmartPlant Foundation.

February 2019

• Enhanced the procedure for configuring the layout of a Neutral report. For more information, see Configure a Neutral report. (P3 AL:18338)

• How the software handles column positioning when you define report layout has been enhanced. For more information, see Report Definition options and Define the report layout. (P2 AL:18373).

  • You can use drag and drop to re-position a column object.

  • When you reposition a column or change its Width value, the software automatically updates the Start value for each subsequent column.

  • The Maximum Characters, Justification, Comment, Enabled, and Group column attributes now display in a pop-up menu, thus reducing the overall size of the column object. Previously, these attributes displayed on the column object.

  • When you add a new column to the report layout, the software places it to the right of the last column object and automatically selects it so that you can define its attributes.

  • You can drag and drop column objects in the Header and Title Block boxes to populate them. Previously, you had to type the column names in the boxes.

• Isogen Reporting functionality has been enhanced as follows:

  • The Type attribute in the TABLE | COLUMN | COLUMNS element supports two new values: CharacteristicBore and PartNumber. For more information, see COLUMN and COLUMNS element. (P2 AL:18423)

  • The FORMAT element supports a new attribute named Rounding. For more information, see FORMAT element. (P2 AL:18423)

• The following changes are specific to the isometric drawing options supported by the software. For more information, see the What's New topic in the Isometric Drawing Options Reference Help.

  • The Units in Drawings and Units in Reports properties (in Drawing Area.Content.Nominal Sizes) have been renamed as Units in Material List and Branches and reducers, respectively. (P2 AL:18469)

  • Clarified the descriptions for weld accumulation settings in Materials.Accumulation.Settings.Welds. (P4 AL:18576)

• Isogen Reporting functionality has been enhanced as follows:

  • New calculated component properties are available in Isogen Reporting. For more information, see Creating Custom Reports. (P2 AL:17529)

  • New aggregate properties are available for any supported grouping of components. For more information, see Appendix: Aggregate properties and Isogen equivalent. (P2 AL:17609)

• The following enhancements have been made to the Isogen Reporting configuration REPORT element. For more information, see REPORT element.

  • REPORT element syntax is expanded to support the selection of columns for output. For more information, see Controlling output and the order of report fields in REPORT element. (P2 AL:17560)

  • A new OutputType setting (Text) and a new ReportMode setting (Append) are available for text type reports. (P2 AL:17581)

  • New optional attributes are available for REPORT elements: ReportType and Separator. (P2 AL:17581)

  • The REPORT element syntax (in an Isogen Reporting configuration) now supports output of a text header. (P2 AL:17606)

  • The REPORT element now supports FORMAT statements for specifying the unit of measure and format for values output in reports. For more information, see FORMAT element. (P2 AL:17695)

  • The DisplayBySheet setting controls the behavior when the isometric drawing splits into multiple sheets. For more information, see VIEW element.

• New Source types are available for the Isogen Reporting configuration TABLE element. For more information, see TABLE element. (P2 AL:17677)

• When defining a COLUMN as part of a table, the new Value attribute enables you to define the content of the column by running a VBScript. For more information, see Value in COLUMN and COLUMNS element. (P2 AL:18077)

• Added information about Isogen Reporting XML script requirements. For more information, see Isogen Reporting Configuration File. (P3 AL:18272)

• A list of the macros and their respective properties that you can use in a CONTENT statement for a COLUMN element in the Isogen Reporting configuration file has been added. For more information, see Appendix: Available macros.

• Added the pipeline attributes and calculated values that you can define in the Material Control report title block. For more information, see Material Control report title block entries.

• The new Split Point Continuation Type option enables you to control how continuation components at split points display on the isometric drawing. This option is located in Drawing Manager.Drawing Generation.Drawing Splitting and Drawing Area.Content.Continuations. This enhancement is specific to the isometric drawing options supported by the software. For more information, see the What's New topic in the Isometric Drawing Options Reference Help. (P2 AL:17985)

• In previous versions of the software, the ability to create customized report output was provided by an external application called the POD Graphics Processor. This functionality is now delivered as a part of Isogen and is called Isogen Reporting. Setting up the software for Isogen Reporting output only requires you to specify an Isogen Reporting script file. For more information, see Creating Custom Reports. (P2 AL:17342)

July 2017

• Clarified the requirements and workflow for using dynamic fonts and barcode data. For more information, see Define a dynamic font for isometric drawing extraction and Place barcode data on the isometric drawing.

• Added a workflow for configuring the software for PDF output. For more information, see Export the drawing to a PDF.

  • A new option, Indent Description On Overflow, enables you to control the indentation of description text in the plotted material list. This option is available for the fixed layout format material list and the variable layout format material list (Materials.Drawing Material List.Variable and Materials.Drawing.Material List.Fixed). December 2016

• The Convert Tap To Straight Through option has been added to support tap to straight-through conversions. The new option is in Drawing Area.Piping Features.Taps. • Descriptions for the Isogen isometric drawing properties are delivered in a stand-alone document called Isometric Drawing Options Reference Help.

• Isogen Configuration supports the ability to import style data from an external .xml file. For more information, see Import data from a style XML file and Import Options from Style Dialog Box. (P2 AL:14940)

• You can export a user-specified set of isometric drawing properties, Alternative Text, and report definitions to a style fragment .xml file. For more information, see Export an isometric drawing style fragment and Export Style Fragment Dialog Box. (P2 AL:14965)
