Isogen can create isometric drawings that contain a number of selected fonts. The fonts that are currently available are defined in the Isogen Font Information File (FIF). The FIF contains basic font information about AutoCAD, MicroStation, and Windows True Type fonts. To support the use of additional True Type fonts that are not defined in the FIF, the software supports user-defined dynamic fonts. Isogen recognizes dynamic font definitions automatically during drawing generation.

  1. On the Home screen, select Text in the Drawing Area category tile.

The software switches to the Configuration View and displays the Text panel.

  2. Expand Dynamic Fonts, and then click Show to open the Dynamic Fonts collection grid.

  3. Specify the Isogen font number, the True Type font name, and the correction factor. In the example, Calibri is defined as a dynamic font.

    • The value that you type for the Isogen font number must be three digits and cannot currently exist in the FIF. The first 300 numbers are reserved exclusively for use in the FIF.

    • The True Type font name that you type must already be installed on your computer. You must type the name exactly as it appears in the C:\Windows\Fonts folder.

    • For additional information about these attributes, see Dynamic Fonts in the Isometric Drawing Options Reference Help.

  4. Click to update the isometric style file with the new property settings.

  5. Use the Drawing Preview panel to review your changes.

After you save the settings, the dynamic font definition is added to the list of available fonts that displays under the Drawing Area.Text.Font and Materials.Drawing Material List.Settings.Text Font properties in Isogen Configuration, similar to the example below:
