The standard Spoolgen interface is shown below:

1 - Menu Bar

Click the name of a menu to display the menu commands. Many menu commands have equivalent keystrokes, such as CTRL+G for the Generate Drawings command, that you can use to quickly perform an action.

2 - Toolbars

Toolbars organize groups of related icons that provide rapid access to commonly used commands. You can use toolbars as an alternative to using menu items or keyboard shortcuts. To toggle on and off the display of a toolbar in Spoolgen, click View > Toolbars, and then select the toolbar name in the list.

You can dock toolbars at the top, bottom or side of the Spoolgen application window, or you can let them float in a convenient position.

When a toolbar is visible in the interface, Spoolgen displays a checkmark (ü) next to its name.

3 - Pipeline Explorer

Displays a hierarchical list of the all the pipe, spool assemblies, and components that make up the active pipeline model. You can navigate through the contents of the model hierarchy by clicking the + or icons. In addition, double-click a node in the tree view to open the node and display its contents. When you select an item in the Pipeline Explorer, the software highlights the item in the model in the Graphics window and displays its properties in the Properties window. For more information, see Pipeline Explorer.

4 - Graphics Window

Displays the current view of the active pipeline model. You can view the entire pipeline or just a detailed portion of interest. You can also use the Graphics window to interactively edit the pipeline, or display the pipeline as a 3D model. For more information, see Graphics window.

5 - Properties Window

When you select an item in the pipeline model or in the Pipeline Explorer, you can use the Properties window to view, specify, and modify the properties associated with that item. For more information, see Properties window.

6 - Status Bar

Provides feedback concerning the action you are currently performing and also indicates the name of the active isometric project. The display of the status bar can be toggled on and off using View > Status Bar.

If any error messages occur during an operation, such as when you import an input file, the software automatically opens the Errors window and displays the message. When you select an error message in the Errors window, the software highlights the appropriate section of pipeline in the Graphics window.
