The Metadata Adapter is a tool that displays discrepancies between the Intergraph Smart Instrumentation database and the INToolsMap.xml file.
For example, a certain property is defined in the Intergraph Smart Instrumentation database and is missing from the INToolsMap.xml.
If these discrepancies exist, the Metadata adapter allows the user to synchronize the database with the INToolsMap and to achieve a situation where all entities are mapped correctly between the database and the Tool Schema file.
The Metadata Adapter consists of two modules:

SPI Metadata adapter – This module is responsible for making the necessary changes in the INToolsMap.

SPI Broker – This module is responsible for making the necessary changes in the Intergraph Smart Instrumentation database.
