After you install Smart Weld Quality Management System, you must:

  • Create a new Weld Quality Management System site in SPF SmartPlant Foundation

  • Configure the Weld Quality Management System site in SPF Site Configuration tool for WQMS

Create a new Weld Quality Management System site

To create a new Weld Quality Management System site:

  1. From the Start menu, click SmartPlant Foundation Server Manager.

  2. Right-click SmartPlant Foundation Sites, select WQMS and click Create new WQMS site.

  3. Select Primary Site and click Next.

The secondary site is not used for Weld Quality Management System because it is used to offload the scheduler for a SmartPlant Foundation site.

  4. Select the database and click Next.

  5. Enter the following information:

    • Site name: Type a logical name, for example, SKPWQMS.

The site name must not contain any special characters and must not exceed 20 characters.

    • Website virtual directory: Changes automatically based on the site name.

    • Virtual directory: The full path created from the combination of the SmartPlant Foundation server path and the website virtual directory. This directory contains the system files required to run Weld Quality Management System.

  6. After you enter the site name and paths, select I want the wizard to create local operating systems users for site application pools automatically. This option specifies that you want the installer to create the user accounts that will be used to run the services for WQMS.

  7. Click Next to proceed.

  8. Click Next on the File Service Information page. The values populate automatically based on the site name.

  9. Click Next on the Remote Service Information page. The values populate automatically based on the site name.

  10. Select I want to create a new user and load the database to the new user. This option is selected by default every time you create a new Weld Quality Management System site. Also, select the check box below the options.

  11. Enter the following information:

    • Oracle Net Alias: Ask your database administrator for the Net Alias name. The Net Alias name is the same name used by the SmartPlant Foundation Site.

    • System username: Ask your database administrator for the system username or the equivalent with system access rights. The account name used is system.

    • Password: Ask your database administrator for the password for the system user.

  12. Click Next.

  13. Select SPF42ADW and click Next. Using SPF42ADW, futureproofs the database for integration functionality.

  14. Enter the following information:

    • User name of database schema owner - Represents the name of the database schema owner. This database account is used for this Weld Quality Management System site. You must always use the following naming convention: <WQMS Site Name>_WQMS.

    • Password - Represents the password for the database schema owner.

    • Password Confirmed - Allows you to confirm the password for the database schema owner.

    • Oracle Tablespace - Specifies the storage location in the database where data is kept. You must always use the naming convention as <WQMS Site Name>_DATA.

    • Oracle temp tablespace - Specifies the storage location in the database where the data is temporarily kept for processing. You must always use the following naming convention: <WQMS Site Name>_TEMP.

  15. Click Next.

  16. In the License Server Information page, enter the license server URL. Ask the SmartPlant Foundation administrator for this URL.

  17. Click Next.

  18. Verify the information and click Next. This is the last step before the site wizard creates the new Weld Quality Management System site.

  19. Click Next after the site creation is complete.

  20. Click Finish.

  21. Verify that the new site is configured successfully for Weld Quality Management System.

  22. Under the SmartPlant Foundation Sites node, select the new site and click Settings.

  23. On the right panel, navigate to the Configured WQMS Version property. A version number indicates successful configuration.

You must have IIS installed on your computer before you can use this command. Intergraph recommends that you add and delete sites only through the SmartPlant Foundation Server Manager application. Do not use IIS to delete any virtual directories created using this command.
