The first two welds performed by a welder will be set as production welds for a project in a discipline. By default, production welds will be sent for RTE inspection. If any weld performed by a welder is rejected, the remaining welds performed by the same welders will be set as tracer welds.

Using the AssignmentRulesMapDef sheet, you can do the following:

  • Modify or configure the conditions for production welds.

  • Modify or configure the conditions for Tracer welds.

To modify the properties and conditions:

  1. Open WQMS-Admin Excel file.

  2. In WQMSProdWeldsRuleMapDef section, edit the following properties to modify the conditions required for production welds.

    • UID - Type a unique identifier for the production welds in the UID syntax.

    • Name - Type a name for the production welds.

    • Description - Provide a short description

    • WQMSProdRules_IsProdReq - Type TRUE if you want to set the welds as production welds.

    • WQMSProdRules_MaxProd - Enter the count of production welds required.

    • WQMSProdRules_SaveProp - Specify the conditions for the properties separated by a pipe (|) symbol.

      For example, WQMSWeld_IsProdForWelder=True~False|WQMSWeld_VIS_IsRTERequired=ELT_WQMSYorNA_Y~ ELT_WQMSYorNA_NA.

      In the above example,

Set WQMSWeld_IsProdForWelder to True, if you want to assign welders and set the welds as production welds.

Set WQMSWeld_IsProdForWelder to False, if you want to unassign welders.

WQMSWeld_VIS_IsRTERequired=ELT_WQMSYorNA_Y~ ELT_WQMSYorNA_NA is set to Y by default.

    • WQMSProdRules_Discipline - Specify the discipline for the production welds. For example, Piping (PIP) or Structural (STR).

    • ContainerID - Defines the package or .xml file that contains the object.

    • Solution(s) - Type * to load the data to SPF database, or type Deleted to avoid loading the data to SPF database.

  3. In WQMSTracerWeldAssgnRuleMapDef section, edit the following properties to modify the conditions required for tracer welds:

    • UID - Type a unique identifier for the tracer welds in the UID syntax.

    • Name - Type a name for the tracer welds.

    • Description - Provide a short description.

    • WQMSTrcrWelds_Count - Specify the count of tracer welds required.

    • WQMSTrcrWelds_SaveProps - Specify the inspection properties of the rejected weld that must be assigned to the tracer welds.

    • WQMSTrcrWelds_AssgnInNDT - Specify the inspection stage (NDT) for which the tracer welds must be assigned.

    • WQMSTrcrWelds_Discipline - Specify the discipline for the tracer welds. For example, Piping (PIP), Structural (STR)

    • WQMSTrcrWelds_Conditions - Specify the criteria based on which the tracer welds must be fetched.

    • WQMSTrcrWelds_Config - Specify the project for which the tracer weld assignment rule condition is applicable.

If you enter the value as ALL, the condition specified in WQMSTrcrWelds_Conditions property will be applicable for all projects. If you want to configure different properties and conditions for a specific project, enter the name of the project in WQMSTrcrWelds_Config and specify relevant condition in WQMSTrcrWelds_Conditions property. Also, you can configure rest of the properties (WQMSTrcrWelds_Count, WQMSTrcrWelds_SaveProps, WQMSTrcrWelds_AssgnInNDT, WQMSTrcrWelds_Discipline) for a specific project.

    • ContainerID - Defines the package or .xml file that contains the object.

    • Solution(s) - Type * to load the data to SPF database, or type Deleted to avoid loading the data to SPF database.
