When you select an object in the Main view and the Text view displays or there are no properties available, the software displays a tooltip to show information about the selected object. To dismiss the tooltip, select an empty area or space in the view. You can use the Properties dialog box to change the content information displayed in the tooltip. This information can include name, part class, part number, and weight of the object.
Tooltip Content
By default, the tooltip shows the object name and the number of documents associated to the object. The document count does not display if there are no associated documents. You can change the tooltip content display by selecting a specific Label Data property in the Properties dialog box. If the label property you selected is not available for an object, the tooltip reverts to the default display of the object name and related document number.
Change the Tooltip Display

Open the Properties dialog box (View > Controls > Properties), and then select an object in the Main view.

Under Label Data, select a row in the Properties dialog box containing the information you require to display in the tooltip.
The next object you select shows the value that corresponds to the selected Label Data property. The example below shows the Date created property in the tooltip display.
