The key starting point for the comparison is the creation of the .svf project file. The .vue files in your .svf represent either the entire source model or sections of the model captured at earlier and then later times during the creation process.

The following steps show the recommended workflow for creating .svf projects for using Find Differences.

  1. Create one or more .vue files representing the source model captured at an early point in time. To generate property differences display sets, you can only have two .vue files in the .svf project.

  2. Create the same number of .vue files for the same model areas captured at a later time during model creation. These later .vue files must have different names than the early .vue files.

  3. Create an .svf project that contains both the older and newer .vue files (in equal numbers) using one of the following methods:

    • Use the Compose command in the Smart Interop Publisher application. For more information, see Compose .svf Smart Models in the Smart Interop Publisher Online Help and User's Guide.

    • Use the Smart Review Save VUE as SVF option. For more information, see Create an SVF Project.

  4. Clear the Single Label Database option when creating the .svf project. To run the Find Differences comparison, Smart Review requires a label database for each .vue file.

Example

You can have a model in which an .svf project contains .vue files to represent sections of that model.

In this case, you must create a .vue file for both the old and newer revision.
