Data table mapping allows you to define the relationship between data tables and their associated components.
-
Components that are not assigned to any part class data table category cannot be exported to any spreadsheet in PDMS/ E3D.
-
Data tables that have no mapping entered are always exported as empty sheets in PDMS/ E3D.
To navigate to Data Table Mapping screen, click Integration > PDMS > PDMS Configuration and select the Data Table Mapping tab.
Data table mapping must be created for the parts and commodity codes associated with SDB_PDMS_GTYPE table name.
Similarly, you can create related group, parts, and table details for OLET data table under PDMS Item Mappings.
Data table mapping can be performed on different levels such as:
-
group/part
-
commodity code
-
ident code
-
If you map a Smart Reference Data part to a PART_DEFINITION data table, all idents that are created for this part in Smart Reference Data are automatically mapped to the data table.
-
If you map a Smart Reference Data commodity code to a PART_DEFINITION data table, all idents that are created for this commodity code in Smart Reference Data are automatically mapped to the data table.
-
You can only map a commodity code if the associated part is not mapped to the data table.
