Data table configurations are pre-defined sets of sheets with attribute mappings and retrieval methods. Retrieval methods allow you to define how the sheet or sheet column is populated with data. The standard data table configuration PDMS_CONFIG is delivered with the software; it has the Standard indicator set to Yes.
To define data table configurations, click Integration > PDMS > PDMS Configuration and click the Data Table Configurations tab.

PDMS 10.06 GTYPE configuration screen is equivalent to Data table configurations screen in SRD.
You can do the following in the Data Table Configuration screen

Add a new Configuration: Click Add
above the tree, type the configuration name and a comment, and click Save
. Click Refresh
to display the new configuration in the tree.

View Data Tables assigned to a Configuration: Expand the configuration in the tree view or double click the Configuration to view the data tables in the PDMS Configuration Data Tables grid.

Add Data Tables to a Configuration: Click Add
in the PDMS Configuration Data Tables grid to add new data tables.

View Attributes and Procedures: Double-click the data table in the tree view.

Assign colors to attributes and definition attributes in a data table: You can assign colors to attributes in a data table. These attributes and definition attributes appear in the same assigned color when exported to PDMS by a transfer job.

Data Table Creation On-the fly: When you enter a non-existent data table on this screen, a window opens for you to create the missing data table and then save it to the corresponding configuration.

Copy and Paste PDMS Data Table Configurations: You can duplicate an existing data table configuration with its corresponding data tables, attributes, definition attributes, and attached procedures. Furthermore, you can copy (or cut) data table(s) with data from single or multiple data table configuration(s) to another data table configuration.

You can now add, edit, and delete the retrieval sources for data tables, attributes, and data table configurations on the Data Tables, Attributes, and Data Table Configurations tab using the Retrieval Sources grid.
