  1. Double-click the Smart Reference Data icon on the desktop to launch SRD. The system will check if you have the latest version of SRD. If you do not have the latest version, it will be downloaded.

  2. On the login screen, click the New Login tab.

  3. Type your user name and password.

    If you forget the password, click the Forgot Password link. You must submit your user name or e-mail address to get the OTP. Once you enter the OTP, you will get a prompt to setup a new password. To know more, see Reset Password.

  4. In the Working with box, select either Project or Product Group.

  5. Click OK. The system will display a list of Disciplines you have access to.

    SHARED Tip Click Filter to narrow down the projects, product groups, disciplines, languages, or roles displayed on the dialog box.

  6. In the Language box, select a language. The labels, prompts, status bar messages, and so forth are translated to the selected language.

  7. Click OK to log in.

Before you login, go to Desktop > Display Settings and set the size of text, apps, and other items to 100% (Recommended).

On successful login, you will be able to access the following menus at the top of the screen:

  • Connection: To connect or disconnect from the database.

  • Administration: To perform administration functions such as managing documents, users, projects etc.

  • SRD: To manage catalogs and specifications.

  • CMS: To manage non-piping content of the catalog

  • Integration: To export the catalog and specifications to Smart 3D, SPIso, CADWorx, PDMS/ E3D, etc.

  • Reports: To run reports.

  • Help: To access the Help content, Printable Guides, and Technical User Forum.
