In this section, we will learn how to create bolted and valve operators in SPRD.

Add the following records for flanges and gate valve in specification CC150-1:

Item

Size

Commodity Code

Description

Slip-On Flange

2"-24"

FSGABLDRFACRZZZZ

SO Flg, ASME B16.5, CL 150, RFFE, ASTM A350 Grade LF2 Class 1

Weld Neck Flange

2"-24"

FWNABLDRFACRZZZZ

WN Flg., ASME B16.5, CL 150, RFFE, ASTM A350 Grade LF2 Class 1

Gate Valve

2"-24"

VGRAAXDRFHFACFA1BZZZZ

Gate Vlv, Gen manu, CL150, RFFE, FP Bonnet, Handwheel, ASTM A352 Grade LCB (UNS J03003), AISI 316 SS+Stellite Trim

Add Flanges

  1. Open the Spec Editor and click on Components tab.

  2. Add the commodity code for Slip-On-Flange in the specification items as shown below.

    Adding Flanges 1

  3. Similarly, create or select the Weld Neck Flange commodity code in the spec item as shown below with Option 171. Save the changes.

    Adding Flanges 2

If Option Code 171 does not exist for Short Code FLF, then go to SRD > Spec > Short Code Management to add it.

    Adding Flanges 3

  4. Save the changes.

Add Gate Valves

  1. Create or select the commodity code for the GateValve as shown below:

    Adding Gate Valves

  2. Save the changes and lock the grid

Building Idents for Gate valve

  1. Select the gate valve spec item and click on Show Idents of the Spec command from the grid menu.

Building idents for Gate valve 1

  2. Click the Build Idents button to generate the idents. The grid view will be refreshed, and the idents are displayed.

    Build Components - second

  3. Click OK to close the Spec Idents window.

  4. Go to Integration > Smart3D > Smart3D Transfer Jobs. Create a New Run of the export job CC150-1 and start the job.

You have not defined the valve operator yet.

Adding Valve Operator Data

  1. Go to Integration > Smart3D> S3D Configuration, click on Templates tab and expand TRAINING_TEMPLATE from the tree view.

    Adding Valve Operator Data 1

  2. Double-click OPHandwheelDB148 sheet to open its grid view. Click Filter button in the grid view and enter the below details to show only those entries with ValveOperatorNumber=GAT-Bolted-CL150-3

    Adding Valve Operator Data 2

    Adding Valve Operator Data 3

  3. Make sure Valve Operator Data is added in OPHandwheelDB148 sheet.

  4. On the Templates tab, select the ValveOperatorMatlControlData sheet and make sure OperatorPartNumber GAT-Bolted-CL150-3 exists, if not add the valve operator.

    Adding Valve Operator Data 4

  5. On the Attribute Mappings tab, make sure ValveOperatorCatalogPartNumber attribute is added for valve operator part and assigned for the Valve Group and Part.

    Adding Valve Operator Data 5

  6. This attribute value will be populated in PipingCommodityMaterialControlData sheet.

  7. Go to Integration > Smar3D > Smart3D Transfer Jobs.

  8. Create a New Run of the export job “CC150-1” and Start the job.
