The following table lists the error messages that a user might see and how to resolve them.

Verify that the database string is correctly specified.

For more information on connecting to database, see Connect to Smart Reference Data Database.

Verify that the database user name and password are same (M_LOGIN).

Smart Reference Data database user name, M_LOGIN, must have M_LOGIN as its password.

Verify the name of the product group or project name is correctly specified.

Log in to Smart materials to view the available projects and the product groups. Make sure that the SRD Project Name option matches with the available projects or product groups in Smart Materials.

Verify if the concurrent users exceed the maximum number specified for Smart Materials.

  1. Log in to Smart Materials, and go to the A.60.81- License screen, and verify Max_Users.

  2. Now, go to the A.60.82 DBSession screen, and check the number of active users.

The Max_Users value must be greater than or equal to the active users.

Verify that the Smart Reference Data user, PIDADMIN has PUBLIC role access to packages.

And also, the Discipline is set to PIPING.

Log into Smart Materials, and go to the A.20.06.01- Product Group or A.20.06.02- Project screen, and verify the PIDADMIN role exists and has Role set to PUBLIC, and Discipline set to PIPING.

Verify that you have used valid PID_LOGIN_DESCIPLINE and PID_LOGIN_ROLE database parameters.

Log in to Smart Materials, and go to the A.60.04 DBA Settings screen, and verify the descipline and the role you have provided are valid.
