If necessary, create the new commodity group on S10.02. The commodity groups are independent of disciplines; that is, the commodity groups must be unique across all disciplines.
From the analysis, we decided to add the SG commodity part to the existing MP commodity group.

Open the S.10.03 Commodity Part screen.
Ensure the screen is in query mode; that is, the fields in the first block are displayed
with a yellow background.

Click List of values
(or press F9) to select MP - Miscellaneous Piping from the list.

Click Run query
(or press F8).

Click in the second (Commodity Parts) block.

Click New record
(or press F6).

Type SG in the Part box.

Select the P_SIGHT_GLASS rule from the LOV in the Rule box.

Type Sight Glass in the Short Desc and Description boxes.

Scroll to the right, and click in the SP3D PartClass box.

Click List of values
(or press F9), and select SightFlowIndicatorTy3 from the list.
The software maps the SG part to the SightFlowIndicatorTy3 part sheet.

Click Save
(or press F10) to save the new part.
