This file contains detailed text information. The format in which details are extracted
to the files when you transfer an ident depends on values defined in the Level column.
For PDMS_D.DAT file, by default, CATA is set at level 1, SECT at 2, CATE at 3, and
rest of the attributes at level 4 as shown in the following screenshot.
You can customize the Levels.
An attribute is always represented with a modifier as <OLD> or <NEW>. <OLD> indicates
that the data is already available in Destinations or created in another file as new
and <NEW> indicates new data. From the following screenshot, CATA, SECT, and CATE
have the modifier as <OLD> indicating that the data is already available in Destinations
and SDTE, SKEY, RTEXT, STEXT, and TTEXT have the modifier as <NEW> indicating that
the data is new.
The following table provides more details about the attributes in the PDMS_D.DAT file.
CATA
|
-
Definition: Component Catalogue elements hold the physical descriptions of both piping and structural
components (Geomsets, Pointsets etc.), plus any text used to describe the components
in schedules, on isometrics etc. It is primarily the elements below CATA which will
be accessed via the Specifications.

Retrieval Source: m_pck_pdms_lookup.Get_PDMS_CATA('I',i.ident)
-
Retrieval Method: BASE_COLUMN
|
SECT
|
-
Definition: The section under the CATA. Sections and Categories are administrative elements,
which let you segregate particular types of catalogue data into logical parts of the
hierarchy. Sections, which subdivide an overall CATA, are obligatory while Categories,
which subdivide Sections, are optional.

Retrieval Method: BASE_COLUMN
|
CATE
|
-
Definition: The category of the components under sections. Categories, which subdivide Sections,
are optional but is a recommended practice.
-
Retrieval Source: Get_CATE
-
Retrieval Method: ATTR_STND_METHOD
|
SDTE
|
|
PDMS_SKEY
|
|
RTEXT
|
-
Definition: The detail text name is typed in the Specification and the Catalog and describes
the manner of the component. The text is stored in RTEXT attribute. The text of the
isometrism is distributed on the parts list at the construction. The SKEY attribute
of the detail text selects the corresponding symbol in Isogen.
-
Retrieval Source: m_pck_pdms_lookup.Get_PDMS_RTEXT_XTEXT(i.ident,cc.commodity_id)
-
Retrieval Method: BASE_COLUMN
|
STEXT
|
-
Definition: The detail text name is typed in the Specification and the Catalog and describes
the manner of the component. The text is stored in STEXT attribute. The text of the
isometrism is distributed on the parts list at the construction. The SKEY attribute
of the detail text selects the corresponding symbol in Isogen
-
Retrieval Source: m_pck_pdms_lookup.Get_PDMS_STEXT_YTEXT(i.ident,cc.commodity_id)
-
Retrieval Method: BASE_COLUMN
|
TTEXT
|
-
Definition: The detail text name is typed in the Specification and the Catalog and describes
the manner of the component. The text is stored in TTEXT attribute. The text of the
isometrism is distributed on the parts list at the construction. The SKEY attribute
of the detail text selects the corresponding symbol in Isogen.
