All sheets to be transferred to Smart 3D must be defined. All known standard sheet definitions are delivered with the product. The sheet definitions are project dependent. You can add additional sheets, for example, if you want to create new part classes for Smart 3D.

To define Smart 3D part class sheets (data tables) for the transfer to Smart 3D, click Integration > XI20 Smart 3D > XI2030 Smart 3D Configuration and select the Data Tables tab.

In addition to creating data tables on this tab, you can create data tables on the fly on the Data Table Configurations tab and on the Transfer Types tab. For more information, see Data Table Configurations.

The Category drop-down list indicates the purpose of the sheet and the type of data the sheet will contain.

The available categories are:

PART_DEFINITION

Sheets of this category are for selecting the catalog sheets. In other words: to select the commodity codes and idents from the specification(s) or not, depending on what you select to transfer on Integration > Smart 3D > Smart 3D Transfer Jobs > Transfer Jobs.

Example: 90DegElbow (PipingComponentClass sheet, PipingCatalog workbook)

PART_FILTER

Sheets of this category are specification independent and only commodity code dependent.

Example: PipingCommodityMatlControlData (PipingSpecification workbook)

SPEC_ITEM_FILTER

Sheets of this category are for selecting Spec Line Items from the SRD > Spec > Spec Management screen. The Piping Commodity Filter sheet defines the data required to select the piping commodity and any additional data required for optional uniqueness per piping material class.

Example: Piping Commodity Filter (PipingSpecification workbook)

SPEC_RULE

Sheets of this category are required for selecting the Specification Header information from the SRD > Spec > Spec Management screen.

Example: CorrosionAllowance (Piping Materials Class Rule, PipingSpecification workbook)

GENERAL_LIST

Sheets of this category are needed for the internal structure of Smart 3D. Sheets of this category are commodity code and specification independent.

Example: Operator17 (ValveOperatorClass sheet, CatalogData workbook)

GENERAL_RULE

Sheets of this category are considered look-up tables for Smart 3D. The data is general for all commodity codes and idents. Sheets of this category are commodity code and specification independent.

Example: MaterialsData (Piping Specification Rule, PipingSpecification workbook)

CODE_LIST

Sheets of this category are considered as translation tables. Sheets of this category are commodity code and specification independent.

Example: EndPreparation (System code lists, AllCodelists workbook)
