  1. Log on to Smart Reference Data.

  2. Navigate to Administration > Options.

  3. Click Authentication Configuration Details.

  4. Type the Authentication Server Issuer URL.

  5. Type the SRDAPI Server and Virtual Directory that you configured.

  6. Type the Redirect URI.

  7. Type the Client ID which you have received while registering with SAM.

  8. Type the Client secret from SAM.

  9. Type the Smart API Service Id/Scope from SAM.

    For more information on Client ID, Client Secret, and Scope, see Register SRD API service with SAM.

  10. Click Verify Configuration to check if the configuration details are correct. The SAM Authentication login page appears.

    • When you click Verify Configuration only the Authentication Server Issuer URL, Redirect URI, Client ID, Client Secret, and Scope fields are verified. If these details are correct, the SAM Authentication login page appears.

    • If there is any error in the above listed configuration details, If not, an error message appears Verification of configuration details failed.

  11. Type the Username and Password. Then, click Sign In. A success message appears.

    • You must login to SAM Authentication login page with the username that matches with the SRD login username. If not, an appropriate message appears.

    • If you click on Verify Configuration again after a successful SAM login, you will not see the SAM Authentication login page again. An internal error page appears for a few seconds immediately, which can be ignored.

    • If you want to login with a new username, then you must re-launch the SRD application and login to the SAM Authentication login page again with the same username that matches with the SRD login username.
