Sometimes during the project introduction phase, you may be required to enter standardization and interface-related data into Intergraph Smart® Materials tables. Depending on the amount of data requiring edits, it may be important to avoid having users type hundreds of records on the appropriate screens. In many cases, this data can be extracted from other systems and written into a text file or copied out of electronic documentation.
The table import functionality in S.20.10 allows you to read data from an import table and to distribute it correctly to the different levels of Smart Materials tables. Intergraph delivers some sets of import data with a Smart Materials installation. However, importing tables can be also be filled by means of ODBC commands, SQL*Loader, and so on.
