What is a PAL Template?
A PAL template is a programming assembling language in XML text format. PAL (XML) file is generated to replace the place holders by retrieving S3D mappings.
What are place holders, positions, and the list of place holders that are available?
Place holders are part of the XML text code that are prefixed and suffixed with &&. When you generate the PAL template using assemblies, these place holders are replaced with the mapped values in Smart Reference Data.
The list of place holders available can be viewed by clicking in the PAL Template Text box in the S.70.02 screen. Some of the place holders and their descriptions are listed in the following table:
