The Spec Revisions tab on the S.50.06 Specification Management screen allows you to track publishing specifications.
The Published check box indicates whether the selected specification has been published to the customer or not. To publish an issued specification, select Publish and save. If you publish a specification that is not issued (that is, the Issued check box is not set), the Issued and Active check boxes are automatically selected after selecting Published, saving, and confirming the message ‘Publishing the Spec will issue the Spec automatically. Do you want to continue?’ with Yes.
The Active check box indicates, if this revision of the selected specification is active or not.
The Date field shows the date when the specification has been published.
The XRev field shows the XRevision of the specification. If you revise a published specification, the XRev of the spec will be increased. For specifications that or not published, XRev will not change when creating a revision.
The Version field shows the specification version for a particular XRevision. If you revise a published specification, the version will be reset to 0 (zero). If the spec is not published, the version will be increased when you create a revision.
The example in the table below illustrates, how the above described values change for a particular specification during the spec revision process.
