All necessary dimensions of a component are stored in the geometric tables. To generate idents for a commodity code, the commodity code must be linked to geometrics.
This section describes how to define table structures and create geometric tables, how to perform geometric simulation, and how to create commodity geometric relations.
In Smart Reference Data, three types of geometric tables are available to define geometric values:
-
Geometrics for standardized values (pre-defined structure)
-
Geometrics for standardized dimensions (user-defined structure)
-
Geometrics for commodity relations (user-defined structure)
The second and third types require the definition of the geometric structure before you can create the geometric. The following chapters describe how to define the structure and the geometric table types.
