The LOV on this field shows available tables in Smart Materials plus the tables in the import table.
If you omit the table group, this information must be specified in the import table; otherwise, no data will be imported. If you specify table group as a parameter, you can achieve the results shown in the following section, Filters with table group specified:
Filters with table group specified:
If the import rows of the selected import type contain table group information, your input parameter acts as a filter.
Example:
Table type: TT1
Table type description: Sample
Table name: T3
Table group: G3
The following import rows exist:
Row 1 is imported because there was no table group specified previously in the import table. Rows 2 through 4 are excluded and therefore not imported because row 2 contains a table group that does not match the table group specified. Rows 5 and 6 are imported because row 5 is the same table group as specified.
Import of New Table Groups
If the table group given in the parameter does not exist in Smart Materials and the import table starts with a table group that matches your parameter, it is imported from the import table. Duplicates are automatically skipped, but the procedure does import nonexistent short and long descriptions for an existing group/detail.
Creation of New Table Groups from a Parameter
If the table group given in the parameter does not exist in Smart Materials, and the import table does not begin with a table group but with a DETAIL-level row, the table group is created using the parameter data you submitted. Duplicates are skipped automatically, but the procedure imports nonexistent short and long descriptions for an existing group/detail.
