Exporting data to Smart 3D requires configuration and setup, which is illustrated in the figure below. A detailed description of the configuration elements is also provided in the table below.

Elements

Description

Transfer Type

Represents a subset of data tables that are frequently exported together i.e. Code List, Generics, Catalog and Specification Tables.

Data Tables

Represents a sheet in the Smart 3D bulk load workbook generated during the Transfer Job process. For other applications, the Data Table represents a unique file generated during the Transfer Job process.

Smart 3D Attributes

Represents a column in the Smart 3D bulk load workbook or file generated during the Transfer Job process.

Data Table Configuration

Represents the details that are used to extract data from the Commodity Codes, Specifications, Geometrics, Templates etc. to generate the Smart 3D bulk load workbook or file during the Transfer Job process.

Data Table Mappings

Represents the relationship between the SRD codes and Smart 3D values and / or Codelist.

Interface Attributes

Represents the Smart 3D interface definition of the Smart 3D attribute.

Templates

Represents a set of out-of-the-box (OOTB) Smart 3D data preloaded into SRD for export to Smart 3D. These include Codelist, Project Options, Plant Rules etc. Some of the data tables such as Bolt Selection Filter, Gasket Selection Filter etc. change by the specification and can either be generated automatically or maintained manually by the user.

Verification Sets

Represents a collection of Verification Reports that can be run as a group during the Transfer Job process to detect potential issues prior to loading the workbook in Smart 3D.

Verification Reports

Represents a specific validation that can be performed during the Transfer Job process to detect potential issues prior to loading the workbook in Smart 3D. The validation process checks both the data previously exported to the destination and the data included in the current Transfer Job.

General Configuration

Represents a set of configurations that the users can tweak to optimize the generation of workbooks.

Destination

Represents a virtual location where all the data exported to the specific Smart 3D is stored when the Transfer Job is completed. Note that if the Transfer Job is canceled, the data extracted in the workbook is not stored in the destination and will be reexported the next time.

Transfer Job

Represents a job that enables the users to generate workbooks for Smart 3D or files for other systems for one or more Specification(s) or item(s), Commodity Code(s) and Ident(s) or Codelist or Generics.

Job Goal

Represents various stages of the Transfer Process. The most common goals are 'Write to File' and 'Complete'.

These configurations can be done in Smart Reference Data as described in the following sections. See Smart 3D Setup and Configuration for more information.

To open the Smart 3D Configuration screen, click Integration > Smart 3D > Smart 3D Configuration.

The available tabs on the Smart 3D Configuration screen are described in the following sections.
