  1. Select the nominal sizes table from the Diameter Series selection list.

  2. If necessary, select the filter geometrics table from the Preferred Thicknesses selection list.

  3. Select the material table detail from the Material selection list.

  4. If the filter geometrics table is selected in the Preferred Thicknesses box, check to see if the filter geometrics table and nominal sizes table have intersecting sizes.

  5. If the filter geometrics table and nominal sizes table have at least one intersecting size, the nominal sizes present in both the nominal sizes table and filter geometrics table are queried. Only the queried nominal sizes in the filter geometrics table are used for constructing the Thickness grid.

  6. If the schedule table is attached to the material table detail selected in the Material selection list and the filter geometrics table does NOT have schedule data defined for the nominal sizes, the software constructs the Thickness grid as follows:

    1. Start with the first nominal size in the queried filter geometrics table.

    2. If the nominal size in the queried filter geometrics table is present in the schedule table and the nominal size / wall thickness combination is present in both the queried filter geometrics table and the schedule table, the Wall Thickness and Schedule columns in the Thickness grid are populated with the wall thickness value in the queried filter geometrics table.

    3. Go to the next nominal size in the queried filter geometrics table.

    4. If the nominal size in the queried filter geometrics table is present in the schedule table and the nominal size / wall thickness combination is present in both the queried filter geometrics table and the schedule table, the Wall Thickness and Schedule columns in the Thickness grid are populated with the wall thickness value in the queried filter geometrics table.

    5. Go to the next nominal size in the queried filter geometrics table.

    6. If the nominal size in the queried filter geometrics table is present in the schedule table, the Wall Thickness and Schedule columns in the Thickness grid are populated with the wall thickness value in the queried filter geometrics table.

    7. Go to the next nominal size in the queried filter geometrics table; if there are no further nominal sizes, then stop.
