  1. Click SRD > XS20 Spec > XS2020 Spec Editor.

  2. Select Specification Types/Spec Header/Short Codes/Spec Item from the list in the tree view.

  3. Right-click the specification type, click Open Cover Page, and then click Issued.

    You are asked if you want to store the spec item idents.

    • Click Yes, and the spec is issued. The spec item idents are stored permanently.

    • Click No, and the spec is just issued.

    • Click Cancel, and the spec is not issued.

  • If a spec has been issued but not published, and you click Open for edit Open_for_Edit, the software prompts you to publish the spec.

  • A spec cannot be modified after being issued. You can publish the spec, however, if it has the highest revision.

  • You can use the scroll bars on the Components page even after the spec has been issued.
