In Smart Reference Data, a symbol library is a set of symbols grouped together for easy access and maintenance. You can also organize the symbols in hierarchical order, if required.
A symbol library can contain more than one symbol.

Click Administration > XA70 Document Management > XA7030 Symbol Library Management.

Click Edit grid .

Click Add Row .

In the Symbol Library Name cell, type a name for the symbol library.

In the Symbol Library Version cell, type a version for the symbol library.

In the Symbol Library Type cell, click Selection List and select a type.

In the Symbol Library Short Desc cell, type a short description for the symbol library.

In the Symbol Library Description cell, type a long description for the symbol library.

Optionally, click Selection List in the Parent Symbol Library Name cell and select a parent symbol library name.
Associate a parent symbol library name only if you want to create a hierarchy for the symbol library. For the Symbol Manager to open, the template must be set on project defaults ZI_SP3D_TP and ZI_SP3D_CT that has PDB sheet of category CODE_LIST.

Click Save grid and Read-only grid .

If you are using any third party software, do not use a Smart Reference Data shortcut key. Shortcut keys must be unique. Conflict in shortcut keys might not invoke the command you preferred.
