The home page has been revamped with the addition of a search bar, Quick Access link, Quick Navigation tiles and SRD Utility button. They facilitate quick navigation to the screens, thereby reducing time taken to perform a task. The home page is displayed either on first login or by navigating to Windows > Home menu.

If you want to access the Home page while working on another screen, you can also minimize the particular screen. However, you may not be able to access the Home screen by clicking the restore button.

Search bar

To search or navigate directly to a screen, type a character, menu or feature name in the search bar to get the suggestions. Double-click the menu or feature name to navigate to the screen. See 'Utility' below to learn how to use short code to search.

Quick Navigation

Quick Navigation helps you with the site map of menus, sub-menus, right mouse click options, drop-downs, tab pages, buttons, or tool-bar buttons in the Quick Navigation window. You can click Quick Access from the home page or press F11 from any page of the application to launch the Quick Navigation window. Alternatively, you can also click the Quick Navigation button Quick-Navigation_buttonon the menu bar.

In the description box, information text is displayed for the options that you cannot navigate directly from Quick Navigation window. For example, if you search and select Display Idents, an information message is displayed to help you.

Quick Access

You can do the following in Quick Navigation window:

  • Search for the required option and get the tree view.

  • Double-click on the option or press Enter button to launch the screen.

  • Add a menu or sub-menu to favorites by selecting a menu and clicking Add to My Favorites. The favorite menu or sub-menu will be displayed as a Quick Navigation tile. For more information on the latter, see Quick Navigation tiles.

If the page is in Edit mode, you cannot launch the Quick Navigation window using F11.

SHARED Tip Enter a keyword (or search code) and press Space Bar to auto-correct the keyword. Note that the keywords will be corrected based on customization of your Search Feed. For more information, refer Search Feed.

Quick Navigation tiles

As you access the screens in the application, search in the search bar or add a menu or sub-menu as a favorite, the screens get displayed in the form of tiles below the search bar.

  1. A maximum of 24 Quick Navigation tiles are displayed for recently visited, most visited or favorite screens.

  2. You can delete the Quick Navigation tiles by hovering on the Quick Navigation tiles and clicking the cross or Remove symbol. With the removal of a shortcut tile, the previously searched screen gets displayed in its place.

  3. The Quick Navigation tiles are color coded based on the modules the screens belong to.

Utility

  • Search Feeds: You can now create your own search codes to search faster. For example, if you regularly search for commodity code, you can create a search code CC and save it in the SRD Search Feeds window. When you type the short code CC in search bar and press the space bar, the abbreviation gets expanded and suggestions are displayed as usual in the result. You can then carry out the normal search operation.

When you add a new search code, you can assign it to a specific user. If you leave it blank or unassigned, it will be assigned to all users depending on the privileges assigned.

To see the newly added search code, you need to log out and login to the application again.

  • Refresh: You can refresh the screen either by clicking the Refresh button or pressing the function key F5 on the keyboard.

  • Clear All: You can delete all the quick navigation tiles by clicking Clear All. Once you start navigating in the application, the quick navigation tiles get created automatically.

  • Customize: You can customize the layout of the Quick Navigation tiles by clicking Customize > Layout. You can select either 6x2, 6x3 or 6x4 layout depending on how many tiles you want to display. The Quick Navigation tiles can be arranged based on 'recently visited', 'most visited', or 'favorites' screens by selecting either Recently Visited, Most Visited or My Favorites shortcut in the Customize > Preferences screen.

  • Authenticate API Access: You can access the SRD API from SRD client. On clicking Authenticate API Access, you will be re-directed to the SAM or OKTA Authentication login page.

This implementation is for user login who has not admin privileges to access the Options screen.

    • If you are using SAM, then:

      • You must login to SAM Authentication login page with the username that matches with the SRD login username.

      • If the credentials are valid, then a success message appears The API Authentication has been granted. If not, an error message appears The API Authentication has been denied.

    • If you are using OKTA, then:

      • You must login to OKTA Authentication login page with the username that matches with the SRD login username.

      • If the credentials are valid, then a success message appears The API Authentication has been granted. If not, an error message appears The API Authentication has been denied.
