Before creating or editing specifications, you must add the SPECAUTOGEN table and create component groups, specification templates, and dependencies. You also need to set up filtering capabilities.
Add the SPECAUTOGEN table
This table provides the necessary attributes for piping specifications.

Log on to Smart Materials, and click Administration.

Under GLOBAL SETUP, click Tables and Properties and then click Table Structures.

Enter information for the SPECAUTOGEN table and attributes.
The Table Structures screen should look like the following:

The important information is in the Data Type, Physical Property, and Kind of Property columns in the Properties section. These columns must have the same information shown above in the picture.

There must be two attributes for the nominal diameter size range, two attributes for the schedule range, and one attribute for the thickness. However, the information in the Property, Width, Precision, and Unit columns can be different from what is shown above.
