Cutting Meters are another way to generate plate part meter pricing. Normally, cutting pricing is generated using work time and price/hour.

There are two ways to get cutting meters from a part:

  • Use exact drawing geometry, where the CUTTING application adds bevels and all details.

  • Use the Sales Machining window, where you define bevel types and lengths. When you select Use bevel values, these values override part values.

Bevel types are V, X, and K.

Meter calculation uses bevel types, start count, and bevel prices.

Work Time is calculated like Plate Cutting, and is needed for loading.

The CUTTING application creates the cutting path to one quotation/order item part. The path contains all cutting operations such as piercing, rapid movements, and so forth. The used NC-technology and nozzle count comes from the quotation/order item. Used NC-programming values are taken from the Machine Database.
