Detailed scheduling is used to balance the resources needed according to the available capacity. A capacity overload situation can occur for a variety of reasons. Usually this happens when rough-cut planning has scheduled work operations, and some of them are overlapping (note rough-cut planning has infinite capacity).

Detailed scheduling is done in the Work Queue module. Works are scheduled with the move works function or by dragging and dropping items up and down in the queue. Users can move, for example, plate cutting works from one work place to another within the same workgroup if the work places support the same machine technology. A change made to a work place’s work queue has a straight effect on the work place work queue presented in the Workshop module used in production.
