The SPx SSC system requires base information to run production smoothly. This section describes the main things required for the system. Installation includes data with an example site and usable workstations that enable running the system as is.

Production sites are modeled in the System Settings module with the following information:

  • Work groups and work places with supported work phases and shift and week calendars

  • Work chains used (to speed up usage)

  • Users and user groups

  • Storage locations

In addition, operational data can be added or modified in System Settings, including:

  • Combo values - Delivery terms, delivery ways, material groups, payment terms, and so on

  • Reasons for production events - Disturbances, pauses, rejections, defections, and so on

  • eCharter data (Unifaun) - Package codes, transport customer numbers

  • Other values concerning work time calculation and other specialized settings

The material articles used are defined in the Inventory module. Article data can also be imported using the Excel interface.

The cost and sales prices for the sold articles (materials, components, and so on) as well as for the work phases are defined in the Prices module. When doing business abroad in other currencies, country, and currency data can also be provided here.

The sales prices can be divided into price groups and each customer set to a suitable price group.

Customer and supplier information (addresses, contact persons, and so on) are added and managed in the Customers module. Customers can also be imported via the Excel interface.

The installation contains work places for gas and plasma-plate cutting machines with example machine databases and a dummy postprocessor (does not create cuttable NC-codes). But for actual cutting, a machine-specific machine database and postprocessor are required.

When the system is set up with suitable data, the execution can begin.
