Nesting of plate parts is not necessary because material usage and cutting time can also be calculated based on a single part. In some cases however, you can calculate more accurate material usage and cutting time through nesting. The nestings are created with Smart Production Cutting lead by Smart Production Sales. These nestings are called sales nestings because they differ from the nestings which are carried out in production. The positions in sales nesting are for the quotation in question. In other words, sales nesting cannot include parts of more than one quotation. Nor can sales nestings be used as they are in the production.
Click Visual under the position list to select the activated lines to nesting.
Nesting can be carried out either manually or fully automatically with Smart Production Cutting.
Job generation
Groups the parts to be nested into jobs according to their material and machine technology.
Auto Nesting
This option is selected if job generation is selected. The parts to be nested are nested automatically.
Auto Path Generation
This option is selected if auto nesting is selected. In addition to the nesting, a cutter path is created.
