To add plate parts to be cut, do the following:

  1. Add the necessary lines to the grid list.

  2. Select an upper level if the position will become part of a structure.

  3. If the part is included in a structure, specify the ordered count or the count of parts.

  4. Select the work chain associated with the cutting machine.

  5. Specify an existing drawing (drawing number, part number, version), provide new identification data, or leave the data box empty. You can also select a drawing by clicking Part List below the position list.

  6. Select the material associated with the position from the thickness, material quality (default grade) list. If you leave the product code blank, the software determines the value automatically based on the dimensions of the part and measurements of the product plate. You can also select the material by clicking Plate Materials.

  7. If you are creating a new part and its geometry is a rectangle or a flange, you can provide the dimensions in the Macro parameters field of the position list. Known forms are:

    Rectangles:

    • Length x width

      Flanges:

    • D = Outer diameter

    • D = Outer diameter/inner diameter

    • D = Outer diameter/d = inner diameter

      Sector flanges:

    • D = Outer diameter/d = inner diameter - A = Sector angle in degrees

    • D = Outer diameter/inner diameter - A = Sector angle in degrees

    • D = Outer diameter/d = inner diameter - Sector angle in degrees

    • D = Outer diameter/inner diameter - Sector angle in degrees

  8. If the part requires machining or turning, select the Machining option above the position list.

  9. Specify the remaining information for the position.

SHARED Tip You can copy data from one to another to specify the information for several position lines at the same time. This lets you provide the data for all the positions before you save the information.
