Typically, selected parts are equal. You can reorder parts by typing a number in the order lines Priority column in the main Profile window. Prioritizing parts affects the nesting order. The software nests the highest priority parts first.

Type a number between 1 and 9 in the Priority column header. Higher numbers indicate a higher priority. The default priority is 0 (that is, no priority).

A priority of -1 indicates additional parts. To prevent material waste, the software only nests additional parts if the parts fit.

  • When you include additional parts in the priority, the software considers the additional parts count as the maximum (see Maximum number of different parts per profile on the Restrictions tab).

  • If you use Grouping, you must set additional parts using Group 99.

  • The Settings > Optimization tab > Priority optimization property determines whether the software uses priority values.
