Normally, the Profile application nests the parts on the profiles freely. However, if the dispersion of parts needs to be limited, the software can group parts. Grouping allows the software to optimize and nest the parts group by group.
The Articles list of selected parts in the main Profile window displays a Group No. column. By default, all parts belong to Group 0. You can type a new group number in the Group No. column heading text box. If you select a group using the Group optimization property (Settings > Optimization tab), the software nests the parts starting with the smallest group number.
Optimization results depend on values from three factors: group numbers, the sawing machine, and the parameter group. The software ignores grouping if Group optimization (Settings > Optimization tab) is set to No groups.
