If a manufacturing defect happens in production, a rejection function is required. For example, in cutting workshop, users can reject parts, remnants, and material before the work is completed. The rejected parts are returned to Cutting for re-nesting and can be viewed in the Work Queue module.

Rejections can also be used for functions like returning plates to stock in order to pick another one or moving a leftover cut part to stock.

The rejection reasons are defined in the System Settings module. Depending on the rejection reasons and system configuration, rejections might need the foreman’s final approval before coming into effect. This is done in the Work Queue module.

For more information, see Rejections in the Work Queue manual and how to make Rejections in the Workshop Cutting manual. The rejections are covered in most workshop types.
