The Loopback interface sends production status information back to the design system. Loopback is supported OOTB only by Intergraph Smart 3D. For more information, see Nesting LoopBack in the Intergraph Smart 3D Structural Manufacturing Reference Data.
The loopback feature will trigger the following events to be sent to Smart 3D:

Part is imported
-
Part is nested
-
Part is removed from the nesting
-
Part is cut
-
Part is welded
The loopback client executable and config files are located in the SPx installation folder (..\Nestix\bin\Loopback).
The log files are located in the following folders:

..\Nestix\master\Log\Loopback
By default, the loopback feature is disabled. To enable the loopback feature, modify the URL in ..\intface\bin\Loopback\S3DProductionClient.exe.config file to point to the listener Smart 3D computer. See Setting up the Client in the Intergraph Smart 3D Structural Manufacturing Reference Data for instructions on setting up the Smart 3D loopback client. You might need to update the Smart 3D loopback client executable files to match the corresponding Smart 3D version.
Enable the loopback feature in the SPx System Settings system level parameters by changing the parameter IntfLoopbackMessageCreated to True. If the parameter is not visible, contact the SPx system administrator to activate parameter selection for the loopback feature.
