The current solution imports the S3D xml geometry into Nestix format (native import), while the earlier solutions converted the geometry into dxf format first. This native import results in a significant improvement in speed. In order to maintain change management for the geometries imported via dxf, that is also supported. Thus, the project import uses native import if the geometry does not yet exist in the system and converts to dxf format if the geometry already exists.
