SPx ENT offers several possibilities for handling user permissions and authentication.
Each user has their own user account in the system. If authentication is used, each user needs a password of their own for logging in to the system. Logins can be saved and viewed later using the auditing logs.
Permissions and their values are defined in the System Settings module. Permissions define what objects and functionality are visible or editable for users. Permissions are always assigned for user groups. A user can belong to one or several user groups.
For more information, see the SPx SSC & ENTERPRISE - System Settings Permissions and Authentication.pdf, delivered with the software.
