The installation of Internet Information Server (IIS) is a prerequisite for installing Smart P&ID Smart API. This procedure describes IIS installation on Microsoft Windows Standard Server.

Go to Start and choose Server Manager.

In the navigation pane, choose Dashboard and then choose Add roles and features.

In the Add Roles and Features Wizard, if the Before you begin page is displayed, click Next.

On the Select installation type page, click Role-based or feature-based installation, and then click Next.

On the Select destination server page, click Select a server from the server pool and from the Server Pool section, choose your server.

Click Next.

On the Select server roles page, scroll down and select Web Server (IIS).

In the dialog box that appears, under Add features that are required for Web Server (IIS)?, click Add Features.

Click Next on each page until you get to the Confirm installation selections page.

Confirm that the following options appear in the selected items to be installed:

Click Install.

On the Installation progress page, confirm that your installation completed successfully and then click Close.
Configuration of additional IIS roles and features can be selected automatically
when installing Smart P&ID Smart API.
