Smart P&ID connects to Smart Reference Data (SRD) server using the SRD Web APIs.
The SRD Web APIs use Okta’s authentication service to verify secure user access to the SRD server. After successful authentication, a connection is established, and a token is generated to maintain the connection for a specified duration.

To connect to the SRD server from Smart P&ID:

In Options Manager, click Settings .

In the Smart Reference Data Server Details box, select the ellipsis button.

In the Smart Reference Data Server and Plant Details dialog, enter the SRD server details.

Select Connect.

In the Login window, enter the Username and Password.

Select Sign In, and then select Send Push.
Okta sends a notification to the authenticated Administrator. After the Administrator accepts the notification, a connection to the SRD server is established.

Upon successful connection, the Smart Reference Data Server Details box displays a connection URL.
