To find the best match for a selected design element in 2D or 3D data, and correlate the elements manually follow the procedure below:
-
Select a design element from the Design Hierarchy Explorer.
-
On the Actions tab, click Manual Correlation.
The software displays the Manual Correlation dialog box. If the correlation settings are set for the selected element, then a list of corresponding elements and percentage of match is displayed. For more information, see Manual Correlation Dialog Box.
-
Click Correlate to correlate with the corresponding design element in the Design Hierarchy Explorer.
-
If the correlation settings are not set for the selected element, the following message is displayed:
You need to set the correlation settings for Pipeline Systems to perform manual correlation.
-
If topology settings are set, then the match percentage for the leg is calculated based on these settings. Otherwise, only the basic topology is considered for finding the best match.
-
When you manually correlate the legs, the inconsistencies on those legs and corresponding components are cleared and re-calculated.
-
You can also right-click a design element in the Design Hierarchy Explorer and perform manual correlation.
-
Select On Selection Highlight in Viewer to highlight the selected element in the respective viewer.
