Import PDMS Data

  1. On the Home tab, click Import 3D Data > Import 3D-PDMS Data.

    The Import 3D-PDMS Data dialog box is displayed.

  2. In the Input File[s] box, browse to the PDMS datal file or files that correspond to the 2D P&ID data.

  3. In the Map file box, browse to the map file to use to import the PDMS data.

  4. Click OK.

  • If you have specified the datal map file path and datal files paths in the Smart P&ID Design Validation.ini file, you do not need to define them in the Import 3D-PDMS Data dialog box every time you import 3D data.

  • You can either specify the datal file paths or the folder path where datal files are in the 3D Datal File Paths section of the Smart P&ID Design Validation.ini file.


Import ISO Data

  1. On the Home tab, click Import 3D Data > Import 3D-ISO Data.

    The Import 3D-ISO Data dialog box is displayed.

  2. In the Input file box, browse to the .pod/.pcf/.idf file or files that correspond to the 2D P&ID data.

  3. In the Map file box, browse to the mapper file to use to import the ISO data.

  4. Click OK.

  • If you have specified the ISO mapper file path and ISO files paths in the Smart P&ID Design Validation.ini file, you do not need to define them in the Import 3D-ISO Data dialog box every time you import 3D data.

  • You can either specify the ISO file paths or the folder path where ISO files are located in the 3D ISO File Paths section of the Smart P&ID Design Validation.ini file.

  • If P&ID data was already imported into the software, then only the corresponding ISO files are imported from the specified input file list or folder. Otherwise, all the files are imported.


Import ISO Data from Isogen Database

The current version of the software supports importing ISO data from Isogen database for testing purposes only. Contact Customer Support.
