After you have configured the correlation and comparison criteria, you can import Smart P&ID data by connecting to a Smart P&ID database and selecting the design data to be compared. You can import the data at any of the following hierarchy levels:
-
Plant
-
Unit
-
Drawing
The import process uses the pre-defined Data Mapping Definition and imports the Smart P&ID data into a neutral format required for the comparison of data. You can import the corresponding 3D data from PDMS by locating the PDMS datal file or ISO data file by locating the .pod/.pcf/.idf file. This import process will also go through the pre-defined Data Mapping Definition. When the import is complete, the 2D (Smart P&ID) and corresponding 3D (PDMS or ISO) data is displayed in side-by-side hierarchies for easy comparison.
