Login with the local administrator account.

Open the directory where Install_SMAT_BIR.sql is located.
Example:
C:\Program Files (x86)\INTERGRAPH\SmartMaterials BIR 2020

Open a Command Prompt window as an administrator.

Change your working directory to the above mentioned directory.

Set the following Oracle parameters:
set ORACLE_HOME=<ORACLE_HOME>
set ORACLE_SID=<SID>

Launch SQL*Plus.

Run the Install_SMAT_BIR.sql script.

Enter the database connect string.

Enter the password for the sys account.

Enter the password for the m_sys account.

Enter the Smart Materials Web Workspace name (configured in Set Up a New Workspace for Smart Materials Web).

Enter the Smart Materials Web Schema password. (configured in Set Up a New Workspace for Smart Materials Web).

You will be asked for the application IDs for the Smart Materials Web applications, which are 101, 102, and 103 by default.

After the script has checked the version and other prerequisites, press ENTER to continue.
The procedure will end as displayed in the picture below.
The installation was successful.

Open a browser and launch Oracle Application Express. For example, enter a URL similar to the following:
http://<servername>:9090/apex

In the Workspace box, type BIR_SPMAT, and enter the admin account credentials.

Click Login to Application Express.
If you log in successfully, you will see the following.

Click Application Builder.
You should find three Smart Materials Web applications:
100 Sample Database Application
101 Intergraph Smart Materials
102 Intergraph Smart WebApproval
The applications were installed by the Smart Materials Web installation script.

Configure the DBA settings in Smart Materials (see Configure DBA Settings).
