Smart Materials/Smart Reference Data Version
2020 (10.0)

Control statuses such as draft, review, release, and so on are used in the Smart Reference Data to be either used or excluded from use in subsequent projects. You can define all required control statuses and specify the status for the records so that they are released for use in projects.

For example, if you create a standard pipe class with control status 1 as a test, and the release status is 2, you might first perform the checks and then release it changing the control status to 2.

You cannot use control status 1 for Release as it is used as the default in Smart Reference Data.

  1. From the Home screen, select Administration > Global Setup > Control Status.

  2. Click Add Row.

  3. Type the control status.

Control status must be a number between 1 to 9 only.

  4. Type short description and description.

  5. Select Yes in Release to mark the release control status and then click Save.

Only one control status can be set to release.
