  1. On the Home page, click Site > Warehouse Management > Material Transfer.

  2. Click Create MTR to create a new MTR report.

  3. Select a transfer date from the calendar in the Transferred On box.

  4. Select an MTR Type from the list.

    • Type ORN has the same functionality as Regular. This type is implemented only for reporting purposes.

    • MTRs of type MIR Scrap are created automatically by posting MIR (by BOM / Reservation Run) with filled in Scrap Warehouse in the header.

  5. Select the name of the forecast reservation from the Reservation Code list.

    You can select the Site Code only if the project default ZC_BIN_LOC is set to BLOC.

  6. Select a name of the Warehouse from the list.

  7. Type the descriptions in the Short Description and Description boxes.

  8. Optionally, type the name of the person who transfered the material in the Transferred By box, estimated time of arrival of the material in the ETA Date box and shipper reference number in the Shipper Reference number in the box.

  9. Click Import/Export button to export/import to export the selected MTR into an Excel life. You can export the file in the following ways:

    1. Export Material

    2. Export for Nested System

    3. Import Material

    • Click Browse to select the Excel file.

    • Click Upload to upload the Excel file.

    • Click Export to export the the Excel file.

    • Select Only Complete check box, if only complete MTRs are to be imported. If Only Complete is unchecked, it rejects the incorrect lines in the excel sheet.

    • Click View Import Log to view the import log of the selected MTR.

    • Click Start to start the import/export process.

    • Only MTRs of type Regular can be exported.

  10. Click Attachments to attach the documents to the MIR.

  11. To add inventory transfer items, click Inventory Transfers tab.

  12. Click Add Row in the Inventory Transfers section.

  13. Click Ident Code list, and select inventory items you want to add, and click Fill In.

  14. Select the warehouse from the New Warehouse and new location of the materials from the New Location cell.

  15. In the Move Quantity cell, type how much of the selected inventory item should be transferred from the source warehouse to the destination warehouse.

    • The Move Quantity must not exceed the On Hand Quantity of the inventory item.

    • If you have selected Reservation Code, the Move Quantity must not exceed the sum of On Hand Quantity and Reserved Quantity of the inventory item.

  16. Select Agreement Number of the materials from the list.

  17. Click Populate Reservation to show the results of the selected forecast or reservation run.

  18. Click Group Reservation to show the results of the forecast and reservation in the group collectively.

    Populate Reservation and Group Reservation buttons gets active only if you select Reservation Code in the MTR Details tab.

  19. Click Populate Plate Number to display the material in the inventory or the material which is already issued by plate numbers.

    • Populate Plate Number button gets active only if you select MTR Type as Nested in the MTR Details tab.

    • You can also search a material by selecting a Plate Number. X and Y Dimension, and Heat Number are auto populated.

  20. Click Heat Number to view the transferred heat number.

  21. To add a heat number to the inventory transfer items by doing the following:

    1. Click Add Row in the Heat Numbers section.

    2. Type Heat Number, Quantity and Certificate Number.

    3. Optionally, type Manufacturer and File Location.

    • Multiple certificate numbers can be assigned to a heat number.

    • The heat number and certificate number combination must be unique within a project.

  22. Click Define Plate Splits to create the number of splits. To define plate splits, click Add Row, select a Plate Number and Save.
