Create MIR by BOM commodity helps you to group material issue reports by Property values. The properties used for grouping are pre-defined on the MIR Display Configuration screen.

  1. On the Home page, click Site > Warehouse Management > Material Issuing.

  2. Click Create MIR.

  3. Select Reservation from the Create MIR of Type list, and click Create.

  4. Select the issued date of the MIR report from the Issued On calendar.

  5. Select an Issue Type from the list. Available types are:

    • Miss

    • Lost

    • Damage

    • Regular

    • Reverse Pick Ticket

  6. Type the name of the person who has issued the report in the Issue By box.

  7. Type the descriptions of the MIR in the Short Description and Description boxes.

  8. Select a company from the Company list.

    You can select the Site Code only if the project default ZC_BIN_LOC is set to BLOC.

  9. Select the overissue warehouse assigned to this subcontractor from the Overissue Warehouse list.

    SHARED Tip This is required, if you insert higher issue quantities than the related list Pos quantity.

  10. Select the Location and Scrap Warehouse for the issued material.

  11. Select a Work Order from the list.

  12. Select Best Qty uses Only Site Status to include the materials which are of the best quantity.

  13. Select Approval Template to assign a template to the MIR and Save.

  14. To add inventory receipt items, click Inventory Issues.

  15. Click Add Row.

  16. Select BOM Path, List Position, and Issued Quantity respectively.

  17. Click Populate to show the BOM Node List. Select List Node(s) and click Fill In.

  18. Click Populate List Node to populate the selected nodes to the MIR. Select a List Node and click Populate List Nodes.

  19. Click Commodity(Group By) to show MIRs by attribute values.

    The attributes to be used for grouping must be defined on the Indicated Items and Sorting screen.

  20. Click Populate by Tree to populate the MIR with list nodes by selecting from a tree structure. Select a List Node and click Fill In.

  21. Click Populate by LOV to populate the nodes by a multi selection LOV. Select a List Node and click Populate List Nodes.

  22. Select Location Change to change the location of an inventory. Select an Ident Code from the Inventory Items for Location Change window and click Fill In.

    Location Change button gets enabled when the Revision is greater than 0, MIR remains unposted, and Issue Type in the MIR Details tab is Regular.

  23. Select Substitution to substitute the inventory items that can be substituted with each other. Select a BOM Path from the Substitution window and click Fill In.

  24. Click Heat Numbers (BOM) to view the associated heat numbers . You can also add the heat number to the existing ident in the Heat Numbers section by clicking Add Row. Enter a heat number from the Heat Number cell, quantity in the Quantity cell and Save.

  25. To attach properties to the heat numbers, click Properties and do the following:

    1. Click Add Row.

    2. Select a property group from the Groups list.

    3. Select a property from the Property list.

    4. Select a value from the Value list.

  26. To post the MIR, click on the MIR By Details tab and click Post. To unpost the MRR click Unpost.

  27. Click View Online Log in the MIR Details tab to open the screen displaying the log file details.

  28. Click Approval Sequence in the MIR Details to define which user can approve the entity. Do the following to define the approval sequence:

    1. Click Configure Approval Sequence.

    To use an existing template for the approval sequence, click Use Template, select a template from the Approval Templates list.

    1. In the Configure Approval Sequence screen, click Add Row.

    2. Type the sequence number.

    3. Select a user from the User list.

    4. Select a user title from the Title list.

    5. Select Prerequisites as Yes if any other person is assigned to the user as prerequisites for the approval by this person. Otherwise, select No.

    6. Type the Allowed Amount and the Currency.

    7. Select a distribution category from the Distribution Category list and click Save.

    8. Select an engineering requisition that you want to approve or reject.

    9. In the Approval Sequence screen, click against your user name.

    10. To approve the requisition, click Approve.

    11. To reject the requisition, click Reject.

    • To enforce an approval though not all persons on the approval sequence have approved, Click Enforce Approval. You must have a privilege ENFORCE APPROVAL to use this button.

    • To reverse an approval, click Reverse Approval. Reverse Approval is enabled only for the user who has approved a requisition.
