There are several functions and duties that only special users must be allowed to use. You can define the tasks that can be controlled by privileges in Smart Materials. You can define privileges on:

  • User level - specific to particular users

  • Role level - all the users assigned to a role

For example, if a role was created for buyers, and all buyers should have the privilege of approving a PO, then this privilege should be assigned to the buyer role. But if only one of the buyers should have the PO Approval privilege, then this privilege must be assigned to the specific user only.

  1. Select Privileges and then click Add Row.

  2. Type the privilege name in Privilege cell.

  3. Type short description and description in Short Description and Description respectively.

  4. Select Yes from Standard if the privilege is a predefined privilege and then click Save.

For more detailed information on the purpose and the usage of each privilege, see.Intergraph Smart Material Web Privileges.
